Social Choice Equity

Objective & Philosophy
The strategy seeks a favorable long-term total return that reflects the investment performance of the overall U.S. stock market while giving special consideration to certain social criteria. The investment team believes that screened investment portfolios can provide competitive return potential that is also aligned with investors’ values. The strategy invests exclusively in companies that meet investment criteria as determined by screens in the KLD Broad Market Social Index.

Investment Strategy
Through a proprietary quantitative model that closely tracks the returns of the Russell 3000 Index, the investment strategy gives special consideration to certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and provides broad U.S. equity market exposure while minimizing relative risk versus the benchmark. More specifically, the strategy uses a detailed optimization process to approximate the overall risk/return characteristics of the Russell 3000.
Performance & Statistics

All data is shown in U.S. Dollars. Non-performance information is based on a representative account of the strategy. Each portfolio may differ due to specific investment restrictions and guidelines. Past performance is not an indicator or guarantee of future results. The gross performance returns presented reflect the reinvestment of dividends and other earnings but do not reflect the deduction of investment advisory fees and other expenses. A client's return will be reduced by advisory fees and any other expenses it may incur in the management of its investment advisory account.

Portfolios within the composite are subject to certain risks such as market and investment style risk. Because social criteria exclude some investments, the Social Choice Equity Strategy may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as portfolios that do not use such criteria.

The Russell 3000 Index measures the performance of the 3,000 largest publicly traded U.S. companies, based on market capitalization. The index measures the performance of about 98% of the total market capitalization of the publicly traded U.S. equity market.

The separate account minimum is $50 Million.
